Daka is a beautiful 11/12 year old Arabian-Trakehner. She was a broodmare for a breeder who just had too many horses, and she’s the dam of Nick, the really spectacular yearling we adopted out this fall. We’ve started her under saddle and without too much time this lovely mare is doing so well. You can literally see her learning and improving during this video–this is a smart mare. Her movement screams dressage (even as she’s still building muscle mass and learning to travel with a rider on some kind of nasty ground in our arena!) and she’d be an amazing eventer too with her long [More]
Excellent Black Beauty – Trakehner licensed stallion Very elegant horse with great gaits and natural balance, good head, mild and steady tempered, quiet and calm for every rider – for the dressage amateur and the professional. Real eye-catcher. Born in 2008. 172cm tall. Glint in his eye, beautiful head, perfectly set neck, proportioned body and jet black hair makes him the dream of every rider. Easy to ride, pleasant in his mouth, comfortable to sit, light on aids and safe. Very easy to handle in the stable, in transport and while riding on the close or open area between other horses or only by himself. [More]

12/9/2006 – First day of two. Clinic with Tom Noone on my Trakehner gelding, Danny. We are schooling 2nd level. Doing some shoulder-in work. The first part you see him flip his head. I still have no idea what triggered him. He just though he was excited about something. So we went a circle to try again, worked into a nicer shoulder-in! Second part, got better as we went. Pretty consistent. Third part I was sitting too much on my inside seatbone and ending up pushing it too much. I know not too, but I still have brain meltdowns.
12/10/2006 – Second day of two. Clinic with Tom Noone on my Trakehner gelding, Danny. We are schooling 2nd level. I apologize again, some of these were extremely dark. I did my best to lighten them. It may still be hard to see. 1st Part – Doing some counter-canter. When we went back across the diagnol he wanted more canter, I didn’t sit enough and Danny kind of came against me, but then we put it back together. Then tried again on the long side, went much better. It is hard to see though. We weren’t going for huge and impressive either, just getting the [More]

Boulderwall once ina life thyme (colt) and Boulderwall one ina million (filly). This video was taen when they were 24 hours old, these were a huge surprise to us as we have our mares scanned to prevent twinning as mares only have at least a 1/50000 chance of carrying and giving birth to live foals. They are by our trakehner stallion Boulderwall ace of Diamonds. both honey and foals are doing great, video updates will follow. featured in horse and hound
