The Paddock

Welcome to Trakehner Tube, your place to find Trakehner videos from around the world. Most of the videos will be from Germany and the USA, since that is where the most interest in the Trakehner horse exists.

A little bit about the site…

This is a site that specialises in the Trakehner horse breed. We try to weed out videos that are not consistent with this specialty. If you see something that is not Trakehner-related, please let us know by email (see below). However, if the video is new on the site, you might want to wait a few days – we catch most of them by then.

If you would like to post your own video here, we will be glad to do it for you. There are more-or-less two options:

  • Send the video to us via email or some other method if you have it, and we will post it here directly on
  • An alternative to the email method is that you send us a physical copy of the video. We will then convert that into an AVI or similar format and put it directly on the site.
  • Ditto either of the above, but you tell us you would like to have it posted on YouTube, and we will do that for you. Because of the privacy and ownership requirements of YouTube, we may have to make a new Google account in your name, but that should work out okay. Then we will list your video here on the site when it is published on YouTube.
  • If you have already posted your video to YouTube, DailyMotion or Metacafe, just tell us the URL for your video and we will post it here for you.

Is that fair or what?

One other thing about YouTube and friends. They often place advertising on their videos. We have neither the permissions nor the software necessary to filter out those ads. Sorry, but you will just have to live with them.

Again, welcome to the site, and we hope you enjoy it. If you have other interests, maybe these similar “tube” sites could be entertaining for you:

  • Aegeri Tube ( about the Aegeri Valley in Switzerland in German and English
  • Zuger Tube ( about the City and Canton of Zug (also Switzerland), predominantly in German, but with some English
  • Zug Tube ( that is about trains in central Europe, from the beginning to tomorrow’s trains

On a final note, if you would like to have a site in the style of these “tube” sites, please drop us a line (email) at [email protected]. We can build one for you at a reasonable price, and help you run it as well.

Ciao from Switzerland!
